In this easy project, Ms Clara makes a flange pillow. Step-by-step directions are given and a review appears at the end.
Materials:
- Two 17-inch x 17-inch squares of material (Ms Clara used two different selections of material: One side of the pillow with an orange-dot pattern and the other with a funny-face pattern)
Directions:
- Sew right sides of the pieces together all the way around the squares with a 1/2-inch seam, leaving a 3-inch to 4-inch opening.
- Pull material through the opening so that the right sides now face outward.
- Sew a 1-inch border around the square, remembering to leave the opening.
- Insert the all purpose "stuffing" into the pillow through the opening.

Review:
This project was so enjoyable that Ms Clara decided to make four pillows! In particular, she had fun when selecting two different yet coordinating patterns. Ms Clara suggests that you wash the fabric before starting on the project. |
